Here are some pics of my truck.
It's a 2000 S-10, Auto, 4 Cyl. I think this takes care of the system for a while. i plan on lifting my truck a little in the future, something like 31x10.5x15 but that is not for a while. If i keep the truck for another year or two, i might do the 350 swap.
The system hit at 135.8 at 42 Hz. Once i dynomat the floor under the subs, it will jump in SPL a little.

Good pic of the front.
The "cattle gaurd" is by grizzly. The two lights are the KC Daylighters. |
Good pic of the hood scoop.
The hood i got from Goodmark. It came with a fake hood scoop so i went and got one cut out and put a screen behind it. |

The deck
The deck is a pioneer DEH-P6500. 50Wx5. There is a neon light behind the vents but it was light out when i took the pic.

Here is a pic of the box i built.
I just put the Plexi on. There is a cover peice that goes around it that hides the cuts and makes it flush but i have not put it on yet. I built the box from scratch. it took a little while just to figure out what i wanted it to look like. in my opinion, it turned out OK but i think i am going to make a new one here in a bit.
The box is made of 3/4" MDF and 3/4" Plexi.

Downfiring subs
The subs sit 3 1/2" off of the floor. The subs two are JL 12"W3D2V2. i almost put a third subwoofer in there but didnt feel like spending the money.

The power supply.
The power for the subs consists of two RF 300S amps, two RF 1/2 caps, and a fuse block to protect it all.

4" gap
There is a 4" lip on the top and bottom of the box to give me some where to mount stuff. There is a notch cut out so i could keep the jack rack in the truck. I was kind of scared about over heating but no probs so far. Another reason why i did that is so if someone broke into my truck, it would at least make it difficult to steel my stuff! |
